My HG lip product.
I love this and I don't know why. Actually, I love this and I don't know why other people don't love it as much as I do.
I mean, it's so freaking cheap! Well it used to be. I can't remember when I bought this - but I bought it several months ago when Etude House products were still sold on eBay.
For those who don't know, Etude House is a popular Korean brand that specialises in skincare, makeup and other beauty products. They are known for having adorable packaging as well as affordable prices - basically, they're known for being cute and cheap.
Anyways, as I was saying, I bought this off eBay at the start of the year for only $4 USD! Super cheap right? Well now they're around $6-$7. Worst of all, I lost this apricot stick in China. *Cry cry* I love it so much - I'm actually tempted to buy another one! But I have a million lip products which need to be used. *Sigh*
It's really pretty. ♥
Not to mention, the colour is amazing asdfghjkl. I just love it! Super pigmented and super pretty. It's a nice warm-toned red which looks slightly orange under different lights - and is just fabulous. I have a warm undertone which only suits different shades of pink and cool-toned red. However, I can still wear this and it doesn't look half bad in my opinion.
A thin layer of Etude House Apricot Stick #8 Sour Cherry.
Back to the pigmentation - the colour is really buildable! You can apply a really thin layer of #8 and it'll give you a nice tinted lip colour. If you apply a second layer, you'll have a pigmented red-orange which is only slightly more sheer than lipstick. If you apply anymore than that, you don't need lipstick at all. Just kidding. But it's still super pigmented for a tinted lip balm.
It's really easy to use! Just wind up and apply!
Another great thing about this baby is that it's moisturising! I don't have to apply lip balm beforehand or lip gloss afterwards! It doesn't really emphasise the lines on my lips or any other dry flakes - which means I don't need to exfoliate using a lip scrub. It definitely saves a lot of time if you're in a rush - which is why it's my favourite go-to lip product. Still crying about how I lost it.
Not a lot of product though.
Oh and the scent is quite nice. Smells nice and sweet and fruity - but a little on the cheaper side if you feel me. Oh well, you don't really notice it when you apply it - and it's not like anyone's going to be sniffing your lips HAHA.
The only downside to the Etude House Apricot Stick in #8 Sour Cherry is that it just doesn't last long. If you're eating something, expect it to be gone straightaway. If you wipe your mouth, expect it to be all on your tissue. But hey, at least it comes off evenly.
Doesn't last long
Not a lot of product
Note: People have complained about not being able to wind down the packaging - but I haven't actually experienced that with any of my 4 shades. Must be lucky I guess.
Overall rating: 8/10 ♥
If it lasted a reasonable amount of time, I'd give it a 10. Too bad it disappears as soon as your lips touch something.
